The thickness of the mattress can change depending on the support, make, and features of that specific mattress.
For example, extra comfort layers, toppers, and spring variations can mean a thicker or thinner mattress.

Body weight and height is also a consideration. As a general rule, retail and manufactures recommend buying a mattress that’s at least 10-15 cm longer than the tallest sleeper, and a thickness based on the comfort of the heaviest person and specific bedframe. Long Single Mattress

If you find you need that extra length on your Single Mattress, Amart now offers Long Single mattresses. A Long Single is perfect for smaller rooms, with a not-so-small human sleeping on it.
Long single mattresses, when placed side by side also create a split king. Perfect for when you require versatility in the bedroom which is great for Airbnb or other holiday accommodation needs.
Double Mattress

Ready to move up a level? Then start looking at a Double mattress. With a wide availability and lightweight design, Double bed sizes are great for growing teens, moving out of home, or when the dog loves to snuggle.
The downside? They’re on the slightly smaller side for couples. They are also the same length head-to-toe as Single mattresses. So if you’re a taller person, you may need to keep scrolling to the Queen mattress section.

Easily the most popular size on the market, Queen bed sizes account for almost 40% of all mattress sales.
This size is where we also start hitting couple territory. Comfortable for two adults, but not taking up your entire room like a King bed size, Queen Mattresses are a great size for most bedrooms and are a happy medium for many sleepers.
King Mattress

A King sized mattress is all about space and has space for you, your partner, two kids, the dog, and maybe the cat too.

Standard Delivery
If you have purchased larger items, items that are shipped directly from our warehouse, or if you are simply unable to visit your closest Amart Furniture Store for collection, we are happy to arrange delivery to your nominated address on a day that is convenient for you. Delivery charges apply.
When choosing Standard Delivery, please note:
- Your delivery will need to be signed for by somebody at the nominated delivery address.
- If you have paid for your purchases by credit card over the phone, the credit card holder will need to be available at the time of delivery so that the credit card details can be verified.
- If nobody is available to accept the delivery at the nominated address and time, we will be unable to complete the delivery. In those circumstances, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery and additional charges may apply.
- Please ensure that the access is appropriate for the furniture being delivered. This includes ensuring your doorways are wide enough to fit the product in, the item can fit upstairs or in a lift (if required) and that there is nothing blocking the path of the delivery in hallways, stairwells or driveways.
- If delivery is to an upstairs area, please advise the store at time of organising delivery.

Courier Delivery
If you have purchased smaller items that are shipped directly from our warehouse or items that are from our Online Exclusive range, delivery to your front door will be provided by our trusted courier delivery partners. Delivery charges apply.
- Once your items have been collected from our warehouse you will get a notification via sms or email with a tracking link. This tracking link will allow you to track the status of your order. In some cases, tracking updates could take 24 hours to update accurately.
- Metro delivery: Within 3 business days
- Regional delivery: 7 business days
Courier Delivery Costs
Courier delivery costs depend on the item/s to be shipped and the location to be shipped to. Once the items are added to the cart online and an address confirmed a delivery quote will be presented.
