Creating a moodboard, whether it be a digital collage, Pinterest board or a magazine clipping filled scrap book, is a great way to see a room design come to life when decorating any new space. You can layer colours, textures and furniture items to visually map out not only the composition of the room, but also how the elements work together to create a cohesive design.
Zoe Gilpin, of the @thediydecorator shares her own personal furniture and homewares selections from our extensive range. Below we share the first of her moodboard series - creating a warm, cosy and inviting boho inspired living space.
"The PALLADINO 5 piece fabric modular in beige , also available in dark grey, is a perfect inclusion to any home with it's modern yet casual design. I have used it with other Amart Furniture items to create a very on trend Luxe Boho style. Neutral styled interiors are huge at the moment but many think that it's an expensive look to pull off in their own home. However, you can create the style using affordable items which you may not have thought were suitable for the look but once pulled together as above, can create a boho haven.
By using warm timbers in the scheme, it adds warmth to the lighter toned items whilst also adding depth and interest. To break up the square lines of the modular, I've chosen a round coffee and side table which fit the boho style perfectly. The natural jute floor rug compliments these timber items well, as well as the white tones. A living room always needs plenty of storage, so introducing a timber bookshelf and console table gives you somewhere to store items whilst still looking the part. Natural toned accessories and a pop of greenery finishes the space nicely, bringing everything together. Two inclusions of this board which are my personal favourites are MILLER Faux Leather cushions and REEF Coral Accent ."
