Since October 2015, Amart Furniture has proudly been a national partner of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RHMC) Australia and have donated an incredible $1,527,331.
Our most recent support was to the Ronald McDonald House South Brisbane, where Amart donated $15,000 worth of furniture to fit out their newest floor to open – Level 8.
On Tuesday 2 February, 21 Amart team members volunteered to build furniture to transform an empty shell into a home filled with furniture that would be soon by occupied by families in need.
RMHC South East Queensland Chief Executive Officer, John Gilmour stated ‘One of the reasons why Amart Furniture works so well for us is that it’s a really well known brand and people are used to seeing it in their homes and it’s about adding those homely touches when they are away from home which is what we really strive to do.'Level 8 consists of 8 self-contained units and 2 day stay rooms that will support families while they receive care as the vast majority of families who stay with RMHC are from regional areas. The length of stay varies, with families staying for one night, one week, one month or sometimes more than a year.
With over 1600 team members within Amart, the RMHC cause is close to our hearts and we will continue to support this charity, as we know that together we can make a difference.
