Moodboard Monday - The DIY Decorator - Dining Room
Planning a cohesive dining room & kitchen design is easy with the use of a mood board - Zoe Gilpin from the @diydecorator gives us her picks to create a functional, streamlined space with plenty of storage!
A dining area can often be the room in a home that accumulates the clutter of our everyday items. So in order to keep it looking neat and tidy, be sure to include plenty of storage in the space. The addition of a display cabinet and/or a buffet is a great way to store items away while still easily having access to them. They are also a great way to display decorative items. Keep your decorations simple in a dining room if it is a well used space. Something simple such as a plant in the centre of the table and something like a set of vases, decorative pieces or a lamp on your buffet/console table.
Warm timber and grey are a match made in heaven and are a perfect combination for many interior styles. Using fabric chairs can often the space and give it a more formal look, while of course being extra comfortable. The giraffe art work is a subtle yet eye catching way of introducing a wall piece to a room. Hung above a furniture piece or even centred on it's own on a wall will work well. Bar stools are a great way of combining a living and dining room, and the Cali Stool design is a great style to use for this modern scheme.
